Williams
The Williams are members of Lake Bethlehem Baptist Church located on
MLK Drive. Patrick is self-employed and owner of an
Architectural/Engineering Consultant firm, Williams Enterprises, LLC.
Patrick is also the owner of the ODYSSEY Sound Lab, LLC Recording
Studio. Williams has demonstrated his concern for education by creating
the Learning to the Music 8th grade math LEAP project through a
non-profit organization, ODYSSEY Foundation for the Arts. Williams is a
graduate of the Class of Emerging Community Leaders and a Graduate of
Leadership Louisiana. He has served on the board of directors of the
Downtown Development Authority and Downtown Shreveport Unlimited.
Williams says he has an invested interest in downtown and wants to see
downtown grow as a business hub as well as a residential area. Williams
is one of the first to actually make downtown Texas Street his home.
Patrick C.
Williams has always had the aspiration to serve the area in which he was
reared. As a native of the Martin Luther King area (“Copper Road”),
Williams received his education from Newton Smith and Northside
Elementary schools, Linear Middle School, and Green Oaks High School,
where he was active in the student government. Patrick continued his
education at Southern University where he received a bachelor’s degree
in Architecture Engineering. He then received his master’s (MBA) from
Centenary College, and is currently pursuing his PhD. in Applied
Management and Decision Science with a specialization in Organizational
Leadership from Walden University.
Patrick C. Williams' core values are faith, family, integrity, justice, loyalty,
and respect. He notes just having experience and education is not the
only qualifications, but more importantly you need a love for the people
in the community in which you are willing to serve. Having a commitment
and an invested interest in serving people and not yourself are the most
important criteria as a public servant. Williams’ primary focus as the
State Representative has been education, healthcare reform, and the
elderly. As Commissioner, Williams has represented most of the precincts
in District #4 under his Caddo Parish Commission District #7 seat in
which he held from 2000-2004.
